As I read it a second time, though, it occurred to me that
while the decisions they made were huge, I have the potential to do the same
thing on a smaller level every day.
The issue, as far as I see it, is whether I’m going to make
decisions for my kids (control freak alert), or teach them to make good
decisions on their own. If you’re
a parent, and you have control issues, you’re probably agreeing with me – it’s
harder than it sounds.
At the heart of it, too, is that basic question: God, do I really trust You with my
kids?
Today, I’m going to be mulling over the ways in which I can
work on the small things, teaching my kids to be good decision-makers, with
renewed urgency.
